I think it would be more helpful, that we, before giving out advice on
equipment, read the manual and make sure the advice we are giving is
correct. The information given below this on the AUX I/O is incorrect.
Pin 4 of the Orion AUX I/O is the left side audio, it is line level, and it
is selected by the settings for the receivers audio output as determined in
the AUDIO menu.
Pin 6 of the Orion AUX I/O is the right side audio, it is line level, and it
is selected by the settings for the receivers audio output as determined in
the AUDIO menu.
The DIN connector that comes with the Orion is a 5-pin connector, meaning
pins 6 (right side audio output) and 7 (FSK) are not available with this Ten
Tec supplied connector.
It is possible that the sender was talking about the Jupiter DIN connections
and not the Orion DIN connections, it is not completely clear in the senders
description.
