Bob,
There is a pretty simple mod to the Omni 6 that TT makes. It requires you to
leave you power supply running all the time and then use the Omni 6 ON/OFF
knob to power the Omni. They just brought out the dc voltage lead from the
xtal oven and tie it into the +12vdc line so it maintains a reasonably
constant temperature for the crystal whether the radio is turned on or off.
Would suggest you call Paul at TT and get the exact details of how it's
done. Sure helped my Omni 6 stability a lot.
