> The band sweep function (if equipped) needs an IF feed of the right
frequency, but that feature's built in to the Jupiter, right?
It "is" possible but it may not be plug and play... I can't recall the IF
freq of the Jupiter. The SM-220 needs the optional BS-8 or BS-5 panadapter
module to sweep. The BS-8 is for an radio IF of 8.830 MHz ...the BS-5 is
for IF of 3.395 MHz. It can stock display a swept range of 40 kHz or 200
kHz.
It is possible to alter the panadapter module for other IF's .... there is
an artical written by Bob Parnass on doing just that to interface the SM-220
and adapter to an Icom 70000 with an IF of 10.7 MHz.
