[TenTec] CTCSS Tone Encoder for Orion?

I’ve been playing with 10-meter FM on the Orion and wondered of the
possibility of generating CTCSS tones via software or hardware.  Setting
audio level would probably be a real trick?  How about a hardware CTCSS
generator into the AUX jack?  Anyone have any thoughts on this?
