Yup - I came to work for Ten-Tec from Atlanta's Ham Radio Outlet
store in 1995 after putting in an 18 month stretch answering the
phone there.  Phil Parton, N4DRO, was the assistant manager when
I worked there; Phil is now the national sales manager for amateur
radio equipment for Kenwood.
