I would venture that there is a strong number of Ten Tec fans who like the
Orion precisely because it retains a fair number of knobs.  There is
something about "radio" that makes knobs the preferred way to operate it
from the experience of the majority of hams.   "Hands On" is a meaningful
expression
and what makes ham radio interesting, and computers frustrating.
