On T-T's website, they publish a transceiver comparison table in which Orion specs are stated, and the specs of the other transceivers are the ARRL-measured specs. On Elecraft's website they also publish a large table of specs, quoting ARRL measurements. There is significant discrepancy for the Orion. Does anyone know why? For the Orion, the specs are: Ten-Tecs page: 101 dB and +24 dBm Elecraft's page: 92 dB and +22 dBm I understand that a couple of dB can be simply the difference in measuring two different transceivers of the same make, but 9dB? Anyone have any ideas? 73 Rick |
