Thanks for your comments. I guess I can get used to the 10 Hz step size
and 2.5 kHz per revolution for regular use. However, I would much
prefer an everyday setting that would give me around 5 kHz per
revolution without audible frequency stepping. I've only had the rig for 24 hours so I should perhaps hold my tongue a while, but I would have thought a menu for step rate would be more useful than one for step size. I don't see the point in increasing step size until the upper limit of step rate capability for the encoder arrangement is reached. Though maybe that's where we are?
