That elastic cord is the same stuff the ladies use instead of a rubber band to 
tie their hair up with. It comes in several sizes but Wal Mart, most drug 
stores and cosmetic counters, as well as many fabric stores carry the stuff. I 
cheated though, and used the next size larger cord for a little more pull on 
the pointer.
