Paul , all I remember, that I changed small relay myself to my previous rig
/Omni VI.
Anyway , RX antenna can do RF feedback and high current on Linear Amp even
on low drive.
That's why I recommend external relay, which will ground your ext RX input.
May be 25 - 50 ohm between is OK. ( RX front end bias / balance is
important ).
By the way , 425 linear / bias switch Q7 / MPS6514 was burned 2nd time as 6
years
ago. Probably ORION is OK.

Aihe: [TenTec] Omni vI receive ant switch
Last night I found out that the aux ant switch on my Omni VI does not work.
when in the aux position it disconnects the transmit ant but does not
connect the receive ant. I still hear some bleed through from the transmit
ant, but nothing from the receive ant.
Has anyone had this problem? If so where do I start looking for the
problem?
Great radio!
