The 505 is low power of course, since the CW is only 5 watts SSB will be
average of 2 watts or so, but is useable. We have used one SSB at club's
QRP Field Day. It is fun.
I imagine depending on condition and if the dial cord is still strung etc.
the radio will bring anywhere from $125 to less. Without working finals
they have gone for $5 with no other work needed.
Manual should still be available from Ten Tec or the list members. Mine is
not high quality when I tried to copy it, the copies were not sufficiently
readable. Independent manual publishers W7FG etc should have it, too.
It is a fun rig, basic, but fun. The preselector tuning has a double peak
and you have to learn to be on the correct one, but other than that simple
to operate.
