Subject: | [TenTec] 509 PTO how hard to rebuild is it? |

Hello I have just traded for a 509, and the PTO is very tight. I do not know if the dial string is the problem yet cause I have not had time to look at it. Is the rebuild and replacing the dial string that hard of a job? Ten Tec gets a little more than I would like to pay for it on such an older lower priced rig. The rig works, and the PTO moves and changes frequencies, but it is just too hard to turn. I hope it is just the dial string to tight, but it probably needs the PTO done anyway. Please someone give me some advice on rebuilding it or sending it in to Ten Tec? Thanks Ronnie |
