Yes, true and the competitors simply seem to choose to fix their problems
with a "Mark II" model release and then a "Mark III" release to fix the
problems with a "Mark II" and so. The concern is that every time a new
model is released the value of ones current radio drops about 50%. With
some companies this seems to occur about every 90 to 120 days.

My original OMNI VI+, purchased from Tentec direct, recently sold for 80% of
it's original price and it was 4 years old. It doesn't take an IRS
accountant to figure this one out.

During a recent VHF band opening, I was working quite a few stations out to
600 to 800 miles. Out of 42 SSB worked, my notes indicated that 31
commented on my audio as being outstanding or quite good or fine sounding
audio. My response "that's Tentec audio. Thanks". I was using an original
Paragon, a 705 desk mike and a Down East Microwave transverter to get to 2M
from 10M. I use the same transverter and antenna and the Omni VI+ with a
500 Hz CW filter in the 9 MHz IF, a 250 Hz CW filter in the 6.3 MHz IF and
hear stations off of the moon using a single 10 element yagi. Now that's
Tentec receiver performance. Can't do that with the Paragon however.

In my book it is performance that makes contacts.
