[TenTec] Q: TT Mic #215

Bought a TT Mic #215 at a hamfest today.
Do you know when the #215 Mic was offered by TT?
It looks like an EV 729 ceramic, but marked 'electret' in script,
under the mic screen,
TT round logo where the EV logo is on the front mic screen.
The base is chipped and I would like to paint it.
Does TT sell their gray paint in cans to touch up?
