| boy mark, you have one hell of a time too! I have been running qrp since 1978 and I am really surprised by how rotten the newer radios work on battery power. The argo V coughs and kicks when the voltage drops near 12.3 volts, well within the voltage rating of a lead acid battery. That is one of the reasons why I got the icom 703 and it will work with a 9.21 volt battery like the ones they use in rc cars.. just wait till next year!
