If you can find some plain (unplated) steel screws that will fit you can use either gun blue or parkerizing solution to blacken them to any degree desired. Both should be avaliable at any gun shop or sporting goods store - as well as an aluminum blackening compound that works fairly well. . After all, commercial "black" screws are usually plain steel screws that have had a dose of phospatizing to blacken them. 73 Pete Allen AC5E |
