I predict the demo unit at the various ham shows was the same s/n unit. Thus, the same knob. Usually, engineering won't give out many demo units when production is first starting. Most companies have to use commercial parts and their subsequent tolerances to make it economical to manufacture a complex instrument as this transceiver. The quality of the rest of the radio looked just fine at Ham Com last year. 73, Stuart K5KVH |
