Mark-

You might call Ten Tec Service and talk to Don Prouty. Someone had told
me awhile back that he had described to them where to add bypass
capacitors to fix distorted audio on 12m.

I also have distorted transmit audio on 12m. I saw Don at Dayton last
week and asked him how to fix the problem. He suggested that since my
problem was transmit only, I need a better ground or a 12m counterpoise.

He also said that if the problem were on both transmit and receive, he
could suggest some mods to the transceiver. That sounds like your
problem. Good luck.
