Hey Bill,
I have got some bad news to report. I have heard a rumor about the Orion.
This new marvel of a software defined radio is going to be delivered using
old technology. The rumor states they are using something called UPS for
delivery. I have searched through documents from the 20th century and have
yet to find what the letters UPS stand for. I found a reference to
Uninterruptible Power Supply, but I don't that that is it. The delivery
method facts I could verify described something called a truck/van or Big
Brown plus Brown Uniformed Personal. Which makes me wonder if its a typo and
should be BUP instead of UPS.
Hope this helps. From this rumor it would be a waste of time waiting around
your beam down point, checking your transporter, or your replicator. Just
trying to save your some time.
73,
Keith
