I, along with others, have noticed that recently when the REPLY command is
selected the address provided for the reply is to the Reflector and not the
individual. (I seem to recall the system working differently in the past.)
This can make a personal response or reply to suddenly become public. If
this is the way the software is now working,..........then so be it.
I suggest that users wishing to reply to a specific persons posting, then be
sure to edit the address line accordingly. In most cases I've found it
necessary to "cut and paste" the individual address an place it in the
address line of my reply. I also cut the reflector address so my response
won't go public.
To that end, a REPLY ALL simply puts the reflector address in the address
line twice, hence, I suspect, the reason some have mentioned getting
messages twice. Again, editing the address line will solve the problem.
To that end, I've observed several messages from folks wishing to
unsubscribe, I fear, due to this dilemma.
