Harry,
If what you are saying is that when you have the Omni 6+
connected through your Centurion, and only when your running low power,
you have the problem, then I would suggest you by-pass the Centurion and
see if you still have the problem. If you have the problem only when you
are running your Omni 6+ through the Centurion, it would seem to me the
QSK relay system in the Centurion may be at fault. By connecting your
Omni 6+ directly to your antenna, you can isolate it quickly.
Just a thought.

Subject: [TenTec] OMNI 6+ 80 meter problem
Hello
from time to time the TX maybe jumped off the band, and
I noticed a very big jump in the SWR and the power dropped
down for a few milliseconds, then the TX comes back.
The problem is also with lower power.
I notice this jump also in the headphone.
It is definitly not the antenna, because the 80 meter
problem is not there with the TS570 and the Elecraft K2
on the same antenna and powersupply.
But I did not mention the problem, when I drive the Centurion
with the OMNI 6+, only when running barfoot!
A few weeks ago I was in touch with TenTec about the
80 meter problem.
The suggestion was to replace/check all the diodes on the
TX Low pass board, all diodes on the 81593 BPF
board and U1 and associated diodes on MHz board 81782.
But all the diodes are o.k.
Any help ?
