:
: I have a simple question, on a Corsair when you switch in
different
: filters, does the gain of the amplifier following the
filter, change
: to make up for the different filter loss? For example,
the 1.8KHz filter
: has 2.5 db loss but the 250 Hz filter has 11.5 db loss,
quite a difference.

:
: Then I have one more problem in my Corsair, besides the
display blacking
: out and the phase lock loop going wild when it feels like
it. I noticed
: that when the radio decides to work, and you are tuned on
a signal if you
: switch to narrower filters the signal goes down, and it's
not an issue of
: tuning. With the 250 Hz filter on, only strong signals are
audible,
: moderate signals that you have no problem copying with the
1.8 KHz filter
: just disappear. I'll try swapping the filters out and
see if the problem
: moves with the filter. One of these days when I can afford
it, I'll have to
: send it to Ten-Tec and get it all fixed up.

: Well, on my vernable Corsair II the power plug mod was

and wired it up

: Hi Tim,
:
: They are both in Excellent cosmetic condition. The first
with the 500hz
: filter does have a very, very small scratch in the top of
the cabinet,
: but you really have to look for it. It is about 3 to 4 mm
in length and
: approximately the width of a knife edge (really). The
second is
: cosmetically excellent too, but it only has the standard
SSB filter.
:
: I do have a separate Icom power supply and also the
matching TenTec
: speaker/power supply for sale as well...I don't know what
they are
: worth.
:

filter

: Hi Mark -
: Couple more quick questions.
: 1 ) You said you are selling two Corsair II's. What is the
difference
: between the two - is one in better shape than the other?
Price
: difference?
: 2) Do you by chance have a 250 filter as well to sell?
: 3) Do you have a power supply or a spare Aipax T-aa 20A
circuit breaker
: available with it?
: Thanks for the help.
