Ah yes, but consider the load running RTTY in a contest.  20 minutes
of 'very nearly' 100 % on is nothing at all in a contest.  More like
hours.  Anyway, mine didn't smoke without a fan, and I'm not saying
that is NEEDS a fan - I'm just suggesting its a good idea and a
good conservative thing to do.
