Not exactly sure which was the cure but the contacts were all cleaned thoroughly with super fine steel wool and all joints resoldered. The module slides in nicely and locks right in properly. I noticed that the case screws also need to be JUST snug and too tight causes a distorted case. On the 80 and 40m modules I used a file to remove a little of the case spacer near the screw hole.
