I've always had right-handed guns, and even though I'm right-handed, I
never could shoot 'em worth crap unless I used my LEFT EYE... I'm left-eye
dominant, and have no trouble placing rounds in same-hole, provided the
bullet comes out the tube the same way each time... but in the event that I
loose the vision, I have found a solution- a laser, mounted on the side of
my 500 Mossy's 18.5" cylinder-bore. Can't say I've ever missed a raccoon
at nine feet with that rascal.
As far as using the keyer goes, I'm so lousy with both hands, that it's
enough to constitute a complaint. I tend to put the rig on a freq, get the
controls set right, and fumble through a few QSOs. At best, I QSY just a
tad. One of the advantages of having limited processor power, is the
uncanny ability to set low self-expectations. Henceforth, if you run into
a guy that sounds like he's working the paddles with a yo-yo in his hand,
well, that's me.
