I happen to own a TS-870 and use it with a TT Hercules amp in QSK mode.
My amp's relay system is probably very similar to that of the Titan's.
For QSK, I use an external keyer and feed the keyer's output directly to
the amplifier's "key in" jack. Then I run a cable from the amp's "key
out" jack to the key input of the 870. Due to the delay of the amp's
relay, I add some weight to the keyer and it works perfectly. If you use
the sidetone in the rig, you will experience a slight delay due to keying
system in the amp which takes a few minutes to get used to. One could
listen to the keyer's sidetone instead. 73
