Hey Ron,
Since you brought this up I just have to mention that some of the chrome
trim reverse painted nine dollar radios made in Japan in the '50s and
'60s
now bring prices in the hundreds or even thousands of dollars!
Also, there was one model of the Kenwood TS-830 that had gold trim and
it looked pretty nice.
I for one will accept gold, silver, Black Dot, etc. if the performance
is as good as promised!
