I'm also very interested in the new radio. I'm very
interested in the concept of software- controlled
radios because I don't want to have to keep buying
new radios every year or so.
But more than that, I'm just absolutely tickled pink
with the possibility of using my computer to
*completely* control my HF radio. The possibilities
are almost endless!
I like this new radio because it's small, can be
controlled via front panel or computer (I'm
assuming.) and it's portable. I'm clever enough to
re-do my antenna system if 5 (or 20) watts isn't
enough.
If this radio doesn't pan out per my expectations,
I'll just have to keep saving and get a Jupiter
later :(
