[TenTec] Paragon display fault

My Paragon has developed a fault with the display: all segments of all 
digits are alight! I can see a slight change of brilliance in the segments 
of the first few digits as I change the tuning. The receiver functions 
normally but I haven't tried the TX.)

If anybody could tell me what could cause this fault I'd be very grateful. 
My guess is that it must be on the Display Control Board as a fault on the 
display board itself would be more likely to affect only half of the 
display.
