I am still trying to bring my
Centurion back to normal....
After changing an IC 4CD011 on the
QSK-board and
the Q1 on the filament board,
no current is flowing in standby-
mode and in operate-mode everything
seems to be ok, also the transmit
led is off in standby mode, the
failure that occured befor.
So I closed the chassis, and take
it into business.
First trys to operate brought a
smile to my face, but...
now I have the effect, that I
can not transmit in standby mode,
because the PTT-relais goes crazy!
(what means I come into TX-mode)
This is ok until I transmit up to 10 Watt,
I also removed the PTT-line - In,
it is the same. So the only thing
I can do, is to switch off the PA
while working without amplification.
Also ground system was checked, not to
mention it all is the same as before.
A try with a second TRX brought the same
result.
A long few through the PA - everything
seems to be in a good shape!
Has anyone of you ever eperienced the
same - any idea would be welcome.
