Anyone have any experience using any of the new portable communications scanners such as the Yaesu VR-500 or the ICOM R-10? They both cover 100 kHz to 1300 mHz with USB, LSB, CW, FM, AM, N-FM etc. cell blocked. Do they hear well on all bands? Does AOR or ALINCO make any that are superior. Any help would be most appreciated, thanks! Looking to spend somewhere between $200 and $350.

If someone has one of these for sale or another type, please let me know also. I would like to buy a portable scanner to use at air show, receive wx reports, monitor HF bands, UHF and VHF.
