I just install an INRAD 400hz filter in a TS-930. For you who are
considering buying one of these gadgets consider this. To make the filter
fit in the socket I followed the directions. Smash down 2 capacitors,
grind off 2 edges of the filter's board with a bench grinder and cram it
in with a mighty force. Try your best to screw it down even if it doesn't
align properly.
I'm glad I wasn't the one buying that piece of trash. Now I really wonder
if it reduces QRM? It's hard enough to find a good cw QSO nowadays, much
less QRM.
I believe I would stick with the factory filters. Maybe the TenTec
versions aren't so crude.
