Gentlemen :
In the stock Corsair II, position 3 on the Xtal switch selects the standard
2.4 khz filter...
On filter board 80979 there is a small jumper wire that keeps the 2.4 khz
filter in-line when the front panel Xtal switch is moved to position 2.
I can see no useful purpose for this jumper. All it does is to keep the 2.4
filter selected when the Xtal switch is moved from 3 to 2.
Why ?
What is gained by having the 2.4 filter also enabled in position 2 ?
The CII manual instructs the user to cut the jumper when a 1.8 khz filter is
installed.
Does anybody know why TT did this ?
Seems to be totally redundant.
Please advise.
