You are correct in your observation that audio needs to be attenuated. =
Try using a circuit like what is used for PSK-31. It was detailed in =
this month's QST, in the DOCTOR IS IN section, or can be found on many =
of the PSK internet sites.
This circuit can be used for nearly all of the "sound card" software =
driven modes, i.e. PSK-31, Hellschriber, CW, RTTY, etc. RigBlaster makes =
a popular interface between the PC and rig, but my favorite is the =
LectroKit PSKI kit. It's at www.sanduskyohio.com/lectrokit.
