On my Scout, using an Astron supply, I had to place snapon line filters (got them at Radio Shack) one in each power lead as close to the Scout as possible. You wind as many turns of the power leead as will fit in the core and then snap it shut. This fixed some instability problems I seemed to be having. No problems since then, which was 2 years ago.
