This is SO true!! A monitor that leaks WILL be heard in ANY radio.
Other 'little' things that can be done are careful placement of both the
monitor and it's video cable; make double sure that the adapter cards you
have plugged into your PC motherboard have a GOOD ground, of course the
video adapter is of PRIME importance; make sure you have a GOOD metal to
metal contact between the PC chassis and the PC chassis cover. Play around
with monitor physical placement; play around with monitor cable physical
placement...This is NOT an exact science...no one can tell you "go do
....and it will fix your problem"...you just have to keep working at it.
Monochrome monitors are inherently quiter than color monitors, etc.
Not to discourage anyone, but it took me about six years to
completely clean the monitor rfi out of my Omni 6, above 18 MHz. The final
cure was removing the video adapter card from the motherboard slot, cleaning
the card pins with a red-rubber eraser, re-installing and making sure I had
a good physical/electrical ground connection from the card to the PC
chassis!

The world's rules, especially the EC rules on monitor emissions have
toughened since '92. A far more modern monitor test specification should
make for a much quieter monitor. EC rules are tougher than FCC rules.

If its monitor leakage, the monitor will still upset any other radio if
you have the monitor running while using the radio until you quiet the
monitor.
