Hi folks,
unfortunally I'm in trouble with my Corsair II so I have to ask you for
information how to solve these problems.
My working conditions are: TEN-TEC Corsair II with matching PS (TT 962),
running 80 watts into a Cushcraft R5 vertical up the roof. This
configuration does run perfectly on almost all bands but 17m (18 MHz).
There, it is not even necessary to transmit to start the following phenomen:
by switching to 17m, the display starts to jump around with the frequency,
it's really making funny things. And if I try to transmit, the PS will
switch of the complete station immediatly, even the SWR is absolutely
perfect (1:1.1). This phenomen did also occur with the TT 961 PS which was
replaced by the 962 last August.
Is there anything I can do to get rid of this penomen?
