I totally agree with your comments and the writing of Al, W6LX. Also,
I'd like to add that since the advent of digital displays, everyone
seems to have gotten "so precise" with regard to frequency. Keep in
mind that the accuracy is what you see + or - 1 digit. On my Omni VI+
the +/- factor is 20 Hz.
My counter has a couple of functions more than Mikes. I took the
liberty to measure the dither on the oscillators in the Omni VI+. Never
mind, you don't want to know. However, by most standards today, they
are darn stable and accurate.
So, what's the beef? There shouldn't be any as I see it.
