In a word "YES"!
Even camped in my VW with everything on batteries the noise blanker
was a must (on 80m through 10m)! I only wish the Omni V NB worked as
well (still working on that one!).

Subject: [TenTec] Noise Blanker a must?
Hello Folks; would those of you who use the Scout say that the noise
blanker is a must? I doubt I will ever use the thing while actually
moving
in my vehicle, but may well be operating from a campsite from vehicle
power
and have to occasionally start the engine to keep the battery charged
up.
Also, there is a lot of electrical noise in the area around my house
from
power lines (and especially from my RCA television- cursed thing
creates
horrible noise that kills 40 meters). I have a set amount to spend,
and am
trying to decide between a fourth band module (to start) or a noise
blanker.
Thanks,
Jason
