[TenTec] I want a really good receiver

Unfortunately, audio-stage DSP's, including the popular outboard varieties,
can do nothing to eliminate the AGC action caused by this kind of noise.
That's where the noise blanker does its magic (but, admittedly, also causes
degraded handling of adjacent strong signals)... IF DSP's, if inside the
AGC loop, should be a better approach, tho I've not yet used a rig with one
to see how well they work.

Thanks.

There is some hum type around me - can easilly hear it on car radio - but
doesn't bother me too much.

Do have some arc type - 10 over sometimes on 10 M - from a pole about 500
feet away....very difficult situation at times.
