I discovered a quick fix to a T/R delay problem I was experiencing when I
flash-upgraded my software to V 1.60.
Before the upgrade, I could use the rear panel's EXT-T/R jack to quickly QSK
switch my Alpha and ACOM amps in CW. The lowest setting allowed for true
QSK switching into an amp. After the upgrade, I noted that even at the
software's fastest QSK and T/R setting, the amp would switch just slightly
slower than full QSK.
The fix.....
In the Pegasus GUI control panel, select SETTINGS, then TRANSMITTER. Run
the "Ext-T/R Delay" control all the way to the top setting (SLOW) and
unclick the mouse. Then run the bar all the way down to its minimum setting
(FAST). This should correct the timing problem and allow for the Pegasus
and amplifier to run lightning-fast QSK.
