This is typical. The cure is to replace the battery with a 9v =
rechargable and put a resistor between the + lead to a 12v supply tap. =
I'm not sure of the resistor value until I look it up. Even then...you =
must be sure to turn the radio on every few days to keep the battery =
charged up. It's really a strange design! The Paragon 2 did away with =
that mess.=20

Hello all,
I am about fed up with the battery backup in my Paragon. I have a 9v =
nicad inside, and it seems that if I don't turn on the radio each day, =
the battery quickly discharges and I lose the memories which takes me =
about 30 minutes to enter.....all without the slightest hint the battery =
is going dead!! For example, I was gone last week, and when I came back =
on Sunday, I turned the radio on only to find I had lost all memories!!
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
