So, is the Ten Tec electret condenser element microphone
unique?. This element requires a polarizing voltage for
operation, similar to electrostatic loudspeakers. I have
this and the Heils. Guys on the afternoon Hawaiian net
tell me the Ten Tec unit sounds more as a broadcast
station mike would, while the Heils, with their little sound
holes in the element case, smallest hole in the "4"
element has more high freq. emphasis, it seems.
Years ago (50's) had one of the big diamond shaped studio
dynamic mikes, was VERY strong in the bass!! Sold
it to a musical group!
