I just picked up a Ten-Tec model 606 single paddle/keyer at a hamfest. It's
in great shape and it was a "the nice price". Unfotunately I know nothing
about it and I didn't realize it doesn't get it's power from an internal
battery. Would someone kindly fill me in on a few things?
There are two cables with RCA plugs coming off the back. One has red
heatshrink around it the other has none. The cable with the heatshrink is on
plug #8 on the circuit board. The other goes to plug #7. Is #8 supply
voltage and #7 for keying? How much voltage does this unit require? Plug #4
on the board is unoccupied. What's it for? I'm thinking 4 and 7 are to
select grid or direct keying?
This might be a great addition to my Argosy II package. Any help would be
appreciated.
