I've found that the DSP filter does reduce receiver noise, but puts its own back. I'm happier with a passive low pass filter on the speaker. I've one that has switchable cutoff frequencies in 2:1 steps from about 450 Hz up. Crank out a 400 Hz beat note and that filter and there's nothing but pure tone, no noise. 73, Jerry, K0CQ -- FAQ on WWW: http://www.contesting.com/tentecfaq.htm Submissions: tentec@contesting.com Administrative requests: tentec-REQUEST@contesting.com Problems: owner-tentec@contesting.com Search: http://www.contesting.com/km9p/search.htm |
