I bought a Shure 444 at a hamfest to use with my Triton IV. It works, but requires the gain to be turned to past the 3 o'clock position. It seems I recall that the original 444 was a low impedence mic and the Triton IV needs a high impedence mic. I think the later Shure 444D was made for dual impedence, low and high. Is this correct? 73, Winston K4CWQ -- FAQ on WWW: http://www.contesting.com/tentecfaq.htm Submissions: tentec@contesting.com Administrative requests: tentec-REQUEST@contesting.com Problems: owner-tentec@contesting.com Search: http://www.contesting.com/km9p/search.htm |
