Lyndel, the Scout noise blanker uses a 6.144 MHz I.F. and I think
that the Argosy used 9 MHz. However, the Scout blanker circuit is
simple, yet effective, and I think that changing the coils and/or
caps in the two tuned circiuts would bring it up to 9 MHz. Iwas even
thinking of the possibility of putting this blanker on a 455 kHz I.F.
by changing to transistor radio I.F. transformers. I tmight make a
worthy scice project!
