I'm still getting used to my new (to me) Omni V. A good cw receiver,
Thought I had reached a point where I could purchase some filters.
Bought a 217 filter from Tentec. 500 Hz for the 9 MHz board. Supposed it
to be a plug-in job. While I'm waiting for the filter to arrive I read
in the manual that there are "two gain settings which are jumper
selectable to equalize signal levels'! I don't mind moving plugs from
one connection to another but don't like the idea of having to remove a
board to resolder jumper wires. I assume Tentec will supply me with some
information along with the filter but if anyone can provide some
clarification at this time,I'd appreciate it! Thanks. Incidentally if
anyone has a no. 285 filter (6.3MHz -500Hz) for sale, please let me
know! Thanks Charlie. K0GPF
