Hello to all...Being a new Omni-V owner I've been discovering what a good
rig can sound like. This really hit home this weekend with the 160m cw
contest. I'm not a contester by heart..but I do like to work a few when
they happen. Dispite a slight hum in my receiver (thanks Smokie) I was able
to work 28 stations in 12 states running through the bottom 25kc's one
time. A good 250hz filter and a forced fed windom antenna had a heck of a
time and believe me...the FT990 I just got rid of wouldn't of worked 15 of
them. I was very impressed...well just wanted to share a good experence
with the crowd.
