I wanted to pass a note along about the status of the upgrade
program for converting Omni-VI transceivers to Omni-VI Plus.
After 16 months of keeping a waiting list and upgrading Omni-VI
transceivers, we have stopped adding names to the waiting list
for either the option 2 "chips and buttons DSP" upgrade or the
full option 3 upgrade to Omni-VI Plus. We plan to process the
remaining rigs on the option 2 and option 3 lists in late July
or early August.
While we have no definite plans to upgrade transceivers in the
future, we will continue to keep an unofficial waiting list for
the upgrade. If we receive enough interest to process a future
production run, we will do so. There is the possibility that we
will do no more option 2 or option 3 upgrades if little interest
is indicated.
The option 1 upgrade, (user installation of the Omni-VI Plus DSP
and Logic chips) for an existing Omni-VI will continue to be
available indefinitely.
The response to this upgrade program was far and away greater
than we had anticipated. I don't think any of us at Ten-Tec had
even an inkling that it would take nearly a year and a half to
process all the requests we ended up receiving. Thanks again to
all of you for your interest in our equipment and our company.
